International School of Gospel Music

Gospel choir: Soul Sisters, Laura Kjærgaard & Stephen Nørrelykke (for women only)

Soul sisters is for all women who want’s to sing in a gospel choir. Here we explore and express the different sides of being a woman through music and songs. We find our inner soul sister – and cultivate sister solidarity together. Soul Sisters has been a hit since we first had it on the program.

Gospel choir: Men in black, Georg Weilguny (for men only)

Men: we invite you to sing in a gospel choir – with no women. The style and feeling is the same as in the traditional gospel choir, but the sound of an all male choir is unique! You will be in the capable hands of Austria’s mr. Gospel – the one and only: Georg Weilguny

Roots of gospel - singing, drumming and movement, Sofie Hermind

Journey back to the roots. Experience gospel singing through the lens of the African tradition—where voice, rhythm, movement and spirit are inseparable.
Through West African drum patterns, body percussion, easy dance movements, and powerful vocal harmonies, we reconnect with the tribal origins of gospel expression and sing together in circle formations where every voice matters, every body belongs. We will sing, dance, drum and just have a lot of fun in together. Remember that our voices were never meant to sing alone—we were made for the circle, for the drum, for the collective heartbeat.

Complete vocal technique in action, Claes Wegener

If you already know something about Complete Vocal Technique, then this module is for you. We will work as a choir and the focus will be on how to implement all of the different vocal techniques into actually music. A “hands on” module – turning theory into music. No better to this than Claes!

Being a gospel choir director, Hanjo Gäbler

Every gospel director has her or his own style. In this workshop you will get input from Hanjo Gäbler – he will share his thoughts and concepts, and he will help you find your own style! In this workshop we will work with the practical aspects of leading a choir: how to teach, how to lead and how to conduct. We will also work with storytelling, dynamics… and much more. You also need to know about leadership, so we will share and learn from each other. This workshop is for people who already work as a choir director. (A similar workshop is led by Don Grigg in module 3. You can be a part of both workshops since they will be very different = more inspiration for you to take home.)
(max 12 participants)

Lead singing: advanced, Paul Clarke

Interpretation, phrasing, dynamics, improvisation and storytelling. These are some of the things you need to be able to control when you lead a song. We will challenge the way you think, the way you sing and the way you perform. We will help you become aware of your strengths – so you can become even stronger, and we will help you overcome your weaknesses. Paul is used to work in the studio as a vocal producer for many artists.
(max 15 participants)

Lead singing: beginners, Carla Jane

In this workshop you will take your first steps as a lead singer. Maybe you have never sung a solo before, or maybe you have had a few experiences as a lead singer. Join this workshop and find the courage and boldness needed to stand alone with the microphone. Carla will create a safe space for you to explore your voice. You will love Carla!
(max 15 participants)

Tine's magical world of gospel music, Tine Hamburger

What can you expect from this? Nobody really knows… Tine has been with us for many years, and her students always love singing with her. She will touch your heart. She will challenge your mind. Maybe she will give you a royal crown or a ballon in the shape of a heart. Maybe she will ask you to write a letter to yourself. Nobody knows… but what we DO now is that it will be magical, and when this module is over you don’t want to leave
