Summer Gospel

 Summer Gospel is for everyone! It is a summer course for anyone who wants to try their hand at the most life-affirming music there is.

At SommerGospel, there are teaching opportunities for everyone – from beginners to experienced choir singers, gospel conductors, soloists, musicians and music illiterates.

In 2026 we have 3 Summer Gospel courses:
* Week 27: Summer Gospel 1
* Week 28: Summer Gospel 2
* Week 33: International School of Gospel Music

We are putting extra focus on COMMUNITY in '26. Those of you who have participated before will see that there are several changes to the schedule – precisely to make more room for community!

The only requirement for participation is… the desire to join in!

Summer Gospel 1 (week 27)

Arrival: June 28th at 1:30 PM
Departure: July 4th at 10:00 AM 

Do you want to sing in a gospel choir – or try your hand at singing technique? Or how about being a “Soul Sister” or being part of “Men in black”. There are many options at SommerGospel 1. It can actually be hard to choose. The week is spiced up with concerts, gospel meditation, lectures, afternoon tea, light ritual, open mic… and a fantastic community!

Summer Gospel 2

Arrival: July 5th at 1:30 PM
Departure: July 11 at 10:00 AM 

The program for SommerGospel 2 is similar to that of SommerGospel 1. In addition to the many choirs, you can get solo training, join the “Gospel choir for geeks” – or in Hans Christian’s “My Songs” gospel choir. Each day ends with either a concert, a gospel meditation, campfire with light ritual or an open air gospel concert. We are looking forward to a fantastic community at SommerGospel 2.

International School of Gospel Music

Arrival: August 9 at 1:00 PM
Departure: August 15th at 10:00 AM

If you want to experience Summer Gospel in an international atmosphere, then week 33 is for you! The concept is the same as Summer Gospel 1 & 2 – but here everything is in English, and there is more of everything! There are participants from all over Europe – we usually have participants from about 10-12 different nations.
