Module 3

International School of Gospel Music

Gospel choir: A capella & beats, Claes Wegener

Choir without any musical accompaniment other than beats (rhythms). When we sing a capella there is more room in the music to fine-tune the voices and harmonies. By combining with programmed beats the songs get a stronger rhythm and a more modern expression. This is a module where your voice is very important. DJ Claes W will be your guide into this world of beats and a capella singing!

Gospel choir: Body & Soul, Mette Risager & Stephen Nørrelykke

Most people already know the unique feeling you get from singing in a gospel choir! in this module we will focus on the soulful feeling that gospel music creates in your body when you sing. Be ready to feel the music in both your body and your soul!

Gospel Power Plant, Nina Luna

Our brain and body work together when we sing, but we don’t always feel like we have control over our voice. There are lots of thoughts and decisions we make unconsciously when we sing, which shows in our body language and our singing. We will sing together as a choir, and through conversation, exercises and good tricks, we will practice optimizing our mental resources when we sing. A power plant is a plant that creates electricity. Our brain is a power plant in itself, but only when we become aware of where we put our energy we learn to do something new and become more skilled and knowledgeable about ourselves.
